The Funds
Platinum World Portfolios PLC (PWP) is an Irish-domiciled Undertaking for Collective Investments in Transferable Securities (UCITS), established as an open-ended investment company with variable capital. PWP is an umbrella fund with segregated liability between sub-funds, each of which comprises a separate and distinct portfolio of investments.
PWP is authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland to offer the following sub-funds. The Investment Manager for PWP and its sub-funds is Platinum Investment Management Limited, an Australian company (ABN 25 063 565 006) regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (AFSL 221935) and trading as ‘Platinum Asset Management’ (Platinum).
Platinum World Portfolios - International Fund
The fund seeks to provide capital growth over the long-term (generally 5 to 7 years) through investing 50% to 100% of its net asset value in undervalued securities of companies located anywhere in the world.
Platinum World Portfolios - Asia Fund
The fund seeks to provide capital growth over the long-term (generally 5 to 7 years) through investing 50% to 100% of its net asset value in undervalued securities of companies in the Asia ex-Japan region.
Platinum World Portfolios - Japan Fund
The fund seeks to provide capital growth over the long-term (generally 5 to 7 years) through investing 50% to 100% of its net asset value in undervalued securities of companies in Japan (and, to a limited extent, South Korea).
Platinum World Portfolios - Health Sciences Fund
The fund seeks to provide capital growth over the long-term (generally 5 to 7 years) through investing 50% to 100% of its net asset value in undervalued securities of companies related to the health care sector which may be located anywhere in the world.
